The Challenge: Get young people off their phones, so they can enjoy the world around them.
The Insight: One third of people around the world may be at a high risk for smartphone addiction (CTV, 2023). Most Canadians ‘really need’ a vacation even if they can’t afford it (Global News, 2024).
The Idea: Use common symbols - a world map and a graph - to associate lower screen time with increased Aeroplan points.
The Execution: Aeroplan integrates screen-time tracking into their app that rewards less screen-time with more Aeroplan points.
